JS Design was established in 2019, by Josh Stevens, a designer maker whose primary work is wood turning. All JS Design products are designed and hand made by Josh himself. They are designed and made to be unique and of superior quality.

Welcome to my store! Here, you will find pieces I’ve designed and made from the turning skills and knowledge I’ve acquired over the past 22 years. I have turned and carved a countless number of pieces but never thought of selling my work until this year. I hope you enjoy looking through, and if you’d like, buy a piece or two. Josh Stevens has been a wood turner since he bought his first lathe in 2002, and over the past 22 years has been turning as a hobby. In 2017 he started undertaking small batch production work for high end furniture and designer lighting clients. Whilst his primary work is turning small scaled objects, Josh is currently working on furniture designs.
In 2017, Josh also joined the Melbourne School of Design where he shares his wood working and wood turning skills and knowledge with The University of Melbourne students. In 2019, he started co-tutoring Furniture Workshop as a Masters level Studio Leader at The University of Melbourne.
